October 2015

Temperatures are dropping and leaves are falling...Autumn is in the air. The little ghost and goblins looking for treats can't be far behind!
Halloween is Saturday October 31st

As we begin our annual waltz with the falling leaves let's round up "our leaves" before they become "our neighbor's leaves."  And please remember to use Metro approved containers;
-Re-usable Container
-Paper Yard Waste Bags
-Compostable Plastic Bags
(ASTM D6400 standards)

***
Louisville Metro will be holding a free Drug Toss and Shredding event Saturday  October 24th from 9:00 am to 1 pm at 978 Phillips Lane in the former Executive Inn parking lot.
This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of your  unused  prescriptions and documents.

A community is only as strong as its citizen involvement. So I encourage you to find a way to get involved. Be it helping a neighbor in need, serving on a committee or running for office, we ALL have a way we can serve.

Above all if you want to have a good neighbor, be a good neighbor!

You're always welcome to attend the monthly City Council Meeting. We meet the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Woodlawn Park City Hall.
Quiet Time Again!
CSX engineering has begun work on the Washburn Ave crossing. The work being performed to comply with safety features to meet quiet zone requirements.

Once the work is completed CSX has 30 days to come into compliance with quiet zone rules.

Then hopefully no more train horns blowing in the middle of the night!

 Welcome Neighbor!

Do you have a neighbor that has recently moved into the city?
If so please contact councilmember Doug Watson 894-Image9694 or d.watson@woodlawnpark.com. We would like to offically welcome them to Woodlawn Park.

 S-T-O-P spells.
Don't be the one to get a state ticket and a trip to district court. PLEASE observe the traffic laws, we have them for                                                 a reason
