WOODLAWN PARK NEWS & UPDATES- AUGUST 2014
Image
Dear Residents,

It's hard to believe that August is upon us, but its true. It is here! School will soon begin, college football and before you know it leaves will be changing their colors. Of course, we don't want to rush the seasons though, we are definitely enjoying summer of below normal temperatures so far. Free air conditioning has been nice!
I wanted to thank all of you for the good job you have been doing to keep our city looking good. Just look around and see many of the nicely manicured lawns and landscapings. Woodlawn Park truly is a great place to live and its mostly because of YOU the residents that make this city the nice place that it is! Without you, none of this would be possible.
As we celebrate our 60th year, let us all be proud for what has come before us, what is now and what will come in the future!

As always remember to be a good neighbor!

   Have a great August!

Mayor Brown

Ordinance Number 3, Series 1990-1991 imposes a License Fee upon Insurance Companies for the privilege of engaging in the business of insurance within the corporate limits of the City of Woodlawn Park.  This includes homeowners, car insurance and first year premiums of life insurance.   This ordinance has been difficult to enforce because of the city dynamics and the number of insurance companies issuing policies. The problem has arisen where many residents are not making their insurance company aware of the proper direction of the tax fee.

Please help us solve this situation and help your city collect thousands of dollars that are being routed to St. Matthews or other municipalities in error.  Your insurance rates WILL NOT change.  This tax fee is already being paid as part of your bill.  It is merely a matter of misdirection of these funds.  You can simply call your insurance company or detach the cut-out below and attach to your next payment.

Print this out and attach to your next insurance bill payment, or call your insurance agent directly to advise of your correct local government.

Please properly direct the Local Government Tax for this customer to the City of Woodlawn Park, KY.  Zip Code is 40207.
