A few reminders about keeping your home safe!

On March 17, 2014 we received a telephone call that the City of
Druid Hills has had five (5) Home Burglaries in the last several
weeks.
A few reminder to all home owners:
1. Keep all your doors and storm doors locked, if possible when you
are away from home, or outside doing yard work or exercising.
2. Keep your front porch light on at night, and if necessary keep
your back porch and driveway light on at night.
3. Keep your driveway and backyard gates locked, as well as your
garage door which should be closed and locked at night.
4. Whenever you leave town, even for a day, have someone take your
mail and newspapers in. This also pertains to Sundays when your
garbage cans need to be taken out, and returned on Monday.
5. Let your neighbors know when you are going to be away from home.
6. Always keep your automobile door locked, and never leave
anything inside your car that someone can see from the outside.
7. Keep your eyes open and call 911 for any suspicious activity.
