Welcome to November 2013
|

Dear Residents,
Let me start out by saying thank you to all of you who made the trick or treating experience better for our children by opening up your doors on Friday evening rather than Thursday evening.
As Thursday afternoon rolled around after fielding seven resident calls related to trick or treating and then receiving a call from our police chief that a tree had fallen on Green Meadow Circle, I made a quick decision to follow suit of many of our other cities to try and encourage everyone to postpone and move trick or treating to Friday night. Word must have gotten out because I only saw two children out on Thursday night- the Police Chief saw nine. As many as one hundred children were counted by our police chief on Friday night.
I appreciate all of you who passed the word around to your neighbors and shared our email and Facebook status and made phone calls to help spread the word!
Photos below were taken on Friday, November 1st!

The October newsletter printed edition was mailed on October 23rd to all residents. We will do this once a year. Remember, if you have neighbors that don't have access to email, they can always receive this electronic news each month by postal mail. Send us an email to clerk@woodlawnpark.com to let us know their name and address and we will send them a copy of the newsletter each month.

Nine residents came out to help with the Brightside Community clean up. We were able to gather close to eight bags of trash! Many thanks to all of you who bundled up and came out on that cool Saturday morning! Our City should be proud!
